ABOUT
Maggie Klyce is a therapist with her own practice in Birmingham, Alabama. She is a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist and an approved consultant for those seeking this designation. She also provides supervision for those seeking their social work licensure in Alabama. Maggie is extensively trained in several therapeutic modalities and is a trained interventionist. She previously worked as a Clinical Director for a residential treatment center for eating disorders. She is a national presenter on the topic of eating disorders and addiction. Maggie previously served as President for the Alabama Chapter of the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals. Maggie is passionate about the treatment of eating disorders and enjoys providing consultation and training to clinicians and programs.
Maggie is committed to staying up to date with current research and best practices, combining this knowledge with empathy and compassion to best meet the needs of her clients. She utilizes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RO-DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) Family Based Therapy (FBT), and Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT). The approach utilized is based on clinical need and client preference.
